Regal Place/Lankershim Boulevard On-ramp

Scheduled for completion in December 2015, these improvements will:

  • Provide greater on-ramp stacking so that vehicles do not back up onto Cahuenga Blvd. West.

  • Extended right turn lane onto the on-ramp.

Barham/Bennett Southbound Off-ramp Closure

Completed on October 17th, 2015 and closed for safety reasons
Caltrans and NBCUniversal looked at over 20 different design options in an effort to keep the off-ramp open.

  • Caltrans determined that this closure was necessary due to the fact that there is only 505 feet for weaving between the new on-ramp and the existing Barham/Bennett off-ramp. Caltrans’ minimum safety standard is 1500’
  • Caltrans provided two notices in the LA Times and held a public meeting on July 8th, 2014 to answer questions
  • The existing Barham/Bennett southbound on-ramp and northbound Barham ramps will remain open
